Exhaust advice

Need some advice on what to do, Mot due on the 8th and my exhaust has started blowing. Had a look underneath last night, and it was being held together by the rust!
Need a replacement that wont break the bank, the missus doesnt start her new job for 6 weeks so cant go throwing cash at the car at the moment. although i'm sure a stainless option will be cheaper than Volvo parts.

where abouts is the hole?

partsforvolvosonline do a cat back system, depending on model - the t4 is around 200quid,

quik-fit etc do a centre box piece for 115 fitted

I put a jetex cat back exhaust on my T4 for 210quid great little exhaust and isnt much louder than std.

Cheers guys, the hole (if you can call it that) is both sides of the joint between the rear box and middle section. So cat back system it is.
looks like Jetex is the way forward then, the one on partsforvolvosonline is £250 as its a 01 t4, and its jetex anyway. Got a qoute from the local powerflow guy tonight and they wanted £320 for the cat back!

I have a cat back system in good condition sitting in the loft. Covered less than 50k.

Here's a pic. Not most attractive looking but its sound throughout.

Yeah i'm definately interested. Excuse my ignorence but is this the same layout as mine? my is an 01 v40 t4. will it be the same length have the same bends etc? not actually took mine off yet, or managed to find a layout anywhere that would show me if they are the same.

Hi Pete, I'm not sure if the exhausts are the same on both the S40 and V40. Maybe someone can assist with this query?

I did find a site somewhere to compare them for me, and I believe they were the same (damned if I can find the link now though!)
