    warning light on dash

    fault in the engine electronic system light has came on any ideas chears

    Get the codes read before you do anything else, that will give you a better idea of whats wrong.

    chears mate if it cost to much to fix it will be going by by ever since got the car it has been a pain and never enjoyed the car i think i got a dufff chears

    Phone a reputable local garage and ask them if they can read the codes for you. It may cost you a small amount to find out what's wrong. If you go to a Volvo main dealer they will charge you a fortune.

    A good garage will have the code reader that they can plug into the port and read off the various codes that will tell them what's wrong.

    I've got a usb code reader I use on my '99 V70 for engine codes - works a treat. What car and year do you have?
