    Question Tyre suggestions please.

Don't flame me please I know tyres are important but...

I'm looking for a 'budget' 235/40 18 that I'm not going to regret buying.

I'd swear my F1's but when they only last 10K its getting a bit silly.

F1's are about £110 a corner so what you suggest MUST be cheaper than that.

What have you used and can recommend?

    Thanks

I have had budget tyres in the past( still have actually) and I've had no problems with them, you buy what you can afford. Cheap tyres are better than illegal tyres..

I too had Michelin PS2s all round on my 17" wheels. I got these from Costco and although cheaper, they still worked out nearly £100 a corner.

I recently got a set of 18" Nebulas and bought Falken ZE912. I got them from Camskill, :

So far, so good. I have had them on for three months, 2000 miles and if being picky, I reckon they are slightly inferior than the Michelins for dry road traction (you get a slight 'chirp' if you exit a junction quickly), but overall I am very pleased with them.

That's unbelievable! I'll have to time my next trip to Norfolk for a holiday to coincide with new tyres.

    These are excellent: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.p...d=m4b758s322p0

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, £103 each, I've got them on my Jag and can't fault them, my Pirellis tramlined like hell and these sorted it straight away.
Camskill are the cheapest by far, the lad who fits mine commented how well they were made, apparently some tyres can be dodgy where they contact the rim.

Well I've hit the gamble button and ordered two 'Neuton NT5000' in 235/40 18 off the bay @ £123.50 for the pair!! lol

Worth a gamble I reckon! If they are poor I'll have a good excuse to blow them away quickly.

If OK I might just be on to a good thing given the annual mileage I'm now doing.

I'll post back on their ability to ditch find.

Nankang NS2s are my tyre of choice, I get ~25K out of a set and for 205/50/16s it costs me £50 a corner fitted and balanced. I'm about to put my 3rd set on and ordered them without even thinking about it. The grip is excellent in dry and very good in wet, when pushed they give good feeedback and are very controllable at the limits with gradual amounts of slide.

Scooby wears Good Year F1 GSD3's at each corner 205/50/ 16's £70 per corner fitted & balanced.

If anybody's remotely near Newbury give Headley Tyres a ring

Don't get them to do tracking though - They're pants at that

    Remember I'm on about 18's with a 40 profile not 16's or 17's.

F1's from my usual place are £123 fitted each and thats cheap.

They offered my 'Enduros' at £79 fitted, never heard of them though.

Can't find NS2's in my size- thanks for the tip though.
