The Good, The Bad! and the Awesome!

Right heres 3 piccys of the same car, first one was when i got it with the Original Wheels ( The Good! ) Second is with those god darn awful 17" Wolfrace ( The Bad! ) and the third is with my new 17"'s ( The Awesome! )

I got them off Fleabay, they have just been Refurbed, the only gripe is he didnt take the weights off the outside of the rim before painting them, what a ££££! as now i have Blind Balanced them and theres a 1 inch gap in the nice shiny paint to the old paint below where the weight once was, But i can live with that, £160 all in cant be bad. Im getting the center's for the new ones tomorrow off my old T5, they were in good nick so i kept them.

    Opinions please!

    Cheers.

They are Tethys.100%. Most commonly fitted to S60 2.0T and some T-5 S60's.Not usually found on V70's though unless fitted "post showroom".Look nice on the 850,i had a set on my old 850R and they looked well on that.

Nice job and loving them on a White P2!

    The Tethys that is.

Orestes look very smart indeed with the bright callipers.

What sort of paint did you use for those or where they already done?

The Tethys were sprayed with plasticote from B&Q

Then they were finished with a high gloss clearcoat. It was very easy.

Considerably easier than cleaning the damned things.

They have a tendency to become "blasted" on the leading edge of the spokes and the paint was back to the primer, so they wouldn't clean off any more.

    I'm confused now.....

I don't know if the gunmetal Tethys or the Orestes look best.

Once I've worn these tyres out I'll probably swap back to the Tethys to re-furb the orestes.
