Does it really make that much off a difference? I have a C70 and it does seem a bit wobbly for such a sporty car. I gunned mine down a slip road last week and when I realised I was going a bit fast and should brake (95mph), I could feel the back end trying to step out, It got a bit exciting and I haven't done it since. If this thing really does tighten it up then it might be worth investing in one, while we are both in one piece.

A strut brace should always be one of the first mods you do, for the amount it costs it's well worth it.

i cant believe there are actually still some people out there with T5's without these! lol

very reasonable price for a genuine item if you ask me (we sell them at less than £72 delivered), and they are easy to fit too, and they do make a difference to the handling of the car. There was a time a couple of years back that i was selling at least one or two of these a week to people over the internet.

In reply to your question re the tracking the answer is no it doesn't need checking. The reason the strut brace is so effective is that it almost eliminates the twisting movement of the suspension in the strut towers and the top mounts. It is this twisting of the body which cause misalignment of the wheels on the road and therefore sloppy handling. With a strut brace fitted the suspension is made altogether stiffer and wheel alignment during cornering is maintained so handling and tyre wear improves.
Not a particularly scientific answer but the principle is correct.
Have fun, I think it was my first mod after buying the car. It really does inspire a far greater degree of confidence in the handling and driving pleasure is enhanced no end.
    Cheers.

It's a 15 min job, including putting tools away and making/drinking the cup of tea afterwards. 8 bolts actually You have to put the strutbrace together (one bolt each end), then there are three nuts to undo on each strut mount, then do back up.
