    "DISC" fault message on speedo



    Could anyone help me with this error message on the dash

    "DISC"

    does this mean

    the pads need changing and if so front or back

    or

    the discs need changing and if so front or back



    could someone through some light on this small problem

    It means 'discovering' I think, that message displays when the trip computer is collecting data before displaying it. Absolutely nothing to worry about my friend, mine does it occasionally.

    I was told by my garage that it likely means that one of the wheel sensors is 'disc'connected and temporarily can't read the speed of the wheel or data it sends. Its intermittent and not a problem. Filterlab is right - its nothing to worry about. It's a common issue.

    Its a dodgy connection on the trip computer switch if you pull the switch out and pull the cable out of it thats all you will get on the display.Turning the switch a little usually gets rid if the disc in the display

    +1 - that's exactly what it is.. like most switches they can wear and not make proper contact.. contact Rufe for a price r.e. a new one!

    Our C70 does the same intermitantly, nowt to worry about.
    May buy a new switch if it starts happening more frequently

    As Mr Filter of the Lab Says! this is very common and nought to worry aboot!!!!!!! loose connection most probably and very common!!!!!!!!

    Mine was doing it on bumps, I just unplugged the switch and plugged it back in. Sorted.

    neither does mine.. but if it's like any of the other switches i've had experience of in the C70 -then it's only a matter of time! lol!!..
