Spark plug Tool

i have eventually located my coil packs and spark plugs, but the standard universal spark plug remover i brought yesterday the end bit, i.e. the socket like end will not go down the hole where the plugs are sitting as the hole is to narrow for the plug removal socket dont suppose anyone could help us out please and give me a little advice of i can get to the plug to see if it needs changing or not as car's in bits on the drive and i need to get to work
