    My bankruptcy list....

Intended "tweaks" I will be doing to the T5, not in any particular order. If anyone has any comments on what's best to do first then please fire away.

Some really nice floor mats (£60)
    Strut brace (£60)
    Dump valve (£160?)
Simota carbon charger intake system (£125)
17" TSW Legend graphite alloys (£545 with the right tyres) -or- 18" Dotz Roadster alloys (£680)
    Projector headlamps (£250)
    Matching projector indicators (£75!)

    Eeek!

Not cheeky at all mate, if I can get the matching smoked projector indicators I'll relieve them from you. I'll pass on the mats though as I'll get some tailor made for the car in my choice of colours.

Cheers mate, I love the Legends, they look just right on the 70s. I may consider the black ones too although my car is graphite metallic so I guess graphite would match better.

Where did you get yours from? Also how detrimental is 18" to the ride over 17"?

i got mine from www.allowheels.com (Rochford Tyres) the 18" Black were £515 with tuner lugs (without tyres) as i'm swapping the tyres off my 18" BBS Tritons when i send them off to get refurbished..

I've never had 17's on my car so i'm not sure how they compare.. although i don't think it feels to bad with the 18's.. if that helps at all! lol!

Ahhh, Rochford Tyres - they make it so easy to get the right sized wheels and tyres, that's where I'll be ordering mine from. Since all my wheels have Michelin Primacy tyres with about 8mm of tread on them I'll wait until the tyres wear out a bit before making the change. I might plump for 18s, maybe be best to go out for a ride in an S70 with 18s to gauge the ride.

I take it you'll be posting plenty of images when they are on your car?

yep! lol! - here's my post:

    http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16047

i was meant to have them 2 weeks ago but i'm having to wait on them making tuner lugs up - so my delivery date is 13th August.. i hate waiting on things! lol!!..

i don't think there'll be much difference between the 17's and 18's to be honest.. but it would probably be wise to get a ride in one if you can as you'll need to live with them after all!

the rest of your list looks pretty good as well!

Cheers. I've just been on a bit of an information hunt regarding the dump valve. Seems to be mixed opinions on whether they actually improve anything, the general feeling appears to be that they improve throttle response but RT Mechanic says that it does the opposite. Then there's the potential damage to the cat from split second overfuelling - some say aye, some say nay. It's all a bit confusing.

With my second Saab 9000 it was a simple swap as it had a recirculating valve near the intercooler and not bolted to the side of the turbo, with the T5 it seems a trifle more complicated. Maybe I'll put that on the back burner until I get more information.

Anyway, I've plenty more to keep me busy until then. Other than the floor mats (yes, I am a granddad when it comes to interior colour coding) I think the strut brace will be the first thing. Just watching one on ebay round the corner from me.

Ooooo I'm so excited I can hardly sleep, the pathetically ironic thing is I've owned this car before and only 8 weeks ago at that.

By the way, those black Legends are going to look **** hot on your car if this picture is anything to go by!:
