    ABS Pump

    Quick question

Got fault code - 443 - ABS Pump motor, Intermittent Fault, Electrical or mechanical.

Will changing the abs pump sort this or could it still be the control unit?

looks likely to be the pump or a connection

    DTC info from vadis:

    Possible Source of Problem:
    -Fuse 9 defective.
-Break in voltage supply (30-supply) to control module #25 for the pump motor.
-Break in voltage supply to the pump motor.
-Break in the pump motor ground lead.
    -Defective pump motor.
    -Contact resistance in the connections.

    Condition:
The control module determines whether the pump is working by checking to see if the pump is working without being activated, if there is a voltage supply to the pump motor when activated or if the signal which is generated in the pump motor circuit from the pump motor voltage supply is broken (generated voltage).
The control module also checks continuously for breaks in the circuit. The control module checks the pump motor by activating it the first time the car reaches 20 km/h (25 mph) if the brake light switch has been activated during the same period when the ignition is switched on, or under normal ABS/TRACS control. If the control module registers that the pump does not start, runs continuously, or there is a break in the circuit, DTC ABS-443 is posted.

Check the pump motor and pump motor connector for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the leads between the pump motor and the pump motor connector for intermittent break.
Check the leads between the pump motor and the pump motor connector for intermittent shortcircuiting to ground.
Check the cable between the battery and control module #25 for intermittent breaks.
