    Day running lights

Sorry if this is common knowledge but can you turn off the day-running lights on a 98 S-40 1.8 gdi yourself or is it a dealer plug-and-pay job !

Turn your car all the way on, put your lights in the 3rd position, hold the high beam lever in (and continue holding), turn the lightsto 1st position, release highbeams stalk.

This worked on my 2000 S40 a treat.

Can't get it to work on my 850, perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

Don't think it works on 850's. I tried for ages to find a way, and have had to plum for front dim beam on all the time. This is with the small grub screw turned to the "\" position.
