Yes it's happening again.

And the forum is back just in time.

Following the brilliant meet last year at MRG in Chippenham, It's on again.

A rare chance to attend an "open workshop" at a Volvo dealership.

That's right we'll have access to all the technicians and many services will be offered at a substantial discount.

Last year was a most enjoyable event, indeed an event not to be missed.

All members of any Volvo forum or club are welcome, It's a day for Volvo owners in general.

Here's the details from Pyaap (who is organising it)

OK everyone, its time to get this one rolling. The date has been set as 12th July and it will be an all day affair from around 10am-4pm. It will be an opportunity for you to get one-on-one time with an experienced Volvo trained engineer and to have a good look around your car. 4-wheel alignments, A/C regassing and other simple work will be carried out at exceedingly reasonable prices, plus we'll once again hopefully have representation from Autoglym and others.

Please feel free to post up any questions and I will liaise with the guys at MRG and revert to you. The idea of the day is to have some fun, have a good "poke" around your car and to stuff yourself silly with food.....life does not get any better!! biggrin.gif

Had a chat with Simon from MRG again today and he's now closed their workshop off on Sat 12th July so its now "official"!! biggrin.gif

Following on from the last meet, it will be along the lines of simple mechanical work & repairs, 4 wheel alignments, A/C regassing, test drives of demonstration cars etc. All deals done on the day will be at exceptional rates so please take this opportunity to pop down to MRG for the meet; I'm sure you'll not be disappointed. Please post up suggestions of anything else in particular you would like done on the day and I'll put them to Simon

I've had further contact with MRG Volvo and they're prepared to offer the following services on the day. The costs indicated are totally inclusive of all necessary parts, labour and VAT:

Air-Con Re-gas Incl Leak Dye and Basic Leak Test - £70
Replacement Pollen Filter and Air-Con Clean - £42
4 Wheel Alignment Incl Standard Adjustments - £40
Oil & Filter Change Using Castrol R-Tec - £80
Oil & Filter Change Using Castrol Magnatec - £63
Windscreen Repairs (for chips / scratches which are repairable) - £25
Diagnostic Checks (e.g. using VIDA) - F.O.C.
General Check Over - F.O.C.

In addition, all parts orders placed on the day will be offered with a variable discount of between 10-25% (as a general rule of thumb, commonly used servicing items will attract a higher discount).

Some light food and refreshments will be offered; if the weather is good they may even fire up a BBQ! biggrin.gif

Finally in addition to representatives from Snap-On and Autoglym, MRG will also be trying to get someone in who offers a repair service for damaged upholstery (incl leather), trim and possibly even an alloy wheel re-painting service, all at reduced rates on the day. Finally, they're also trying to get the services of their dent removal specialist.

As you can clearly see, they're really pulling out all the stops to host a thoroughly enjoyable day for us all, so please show them your support by attending the event and taking up some of the services on offer. Jumping out of the closet here, went last year and is an absolutely great meet ( as all have said probablly the best, the MRG guys are great). hope we have as great a time as last year, p.s i'm previously AKA kwikvolvo
