    Immobiliser problems

A friend of mine has a '95 440 that will not start, garage say it's the immobiliser but say it's a complicated job and aren't too keen on doing anything with it. Anyone else had problems or would it be possible to rip it out or bypass it??

The immobiliser ecu is located just above the fusebox, clipped into a plastic holder. It is pale grey and about 5"x3".If you whip it out and aquire a replacement from a breakers complete with the matching fob it will plug and play no problem.I dont think we have any of these left but i will check on Monday and let you know.
    Hope this helps,Adam.
