Exclamation Engine cleaned, shined, polished and gleaming

    Hey Folks

How sad can anyone get - spending the day cleaning their engine and then taking piccys of it! The neighbours curtains have been twitching all afternoon!

Here's my engine when I bought the C70 2 months ago:

And here she is about 2 hours ago once I'd gutted the entire engine bay and added all of Wootty's bits & bobs:

Don't stare too long or you'll end up doing what I'm doing - Dragging the slider at the right of this window up & down to compare/spot the difference between the 2 photos

    Cheers people

Hard to say exactly how long it took as I've been trying to find the odd hour here and there over the last fw weeks, but I'd say it's taken me about 8 hours all in. Possibly more than that.

Ha ha ha - add to that the air filter box, windscreen wipers & Power steering reserve (with added little alloy Volvo cap)... not to mention the removal of half a ton of dirt and crap.

No...someone tell me cos I just can't spot the difference

Seriously m8, and 2 all the other members gettin to grips with gleamin up their bays (largely thanx to Wooty) what a crackin effort, well worth disturbing the neighbours on a Sunday, all day Sunday, if that's the result! We all love a spanky spanked engine

I've seen and had some very crispy Ford bays in the past but seriously, I can't wait to see Wobbly Dave's efforts if his bodywork (ohh matron!) is anything to go by

it is a usual norm for ford owners to pay out 1000's on there engine bays(especially if you buy your bling from mirage, they want £40 for a battery cover + thats looks poo).
    time for some swedes stakes.
