Yeah the wiring plugs are visible when you fold the seats back, but most don't hook up to anything. Which I assume are for heated seats.

I retrofitted some in mine; not the Volvo ones as they were too expensive when priced up (£60 per pad) but a DIY kit I bought in the States for under £100.

I'm amazed so few people took this option up for a paltry £90 (from the original price list) especially when the cars were so expensive

I have the heated rear seats in mine, a 1996 T5 estate. I think they don't work too well but haven't really had the time to sort them out. the switchs are above the ashtray in the back between the front seats.
Im not sure if its the bottom seat and the backs that heat

Got them in my 850R. Assumed they were standard in the R but maybe not? Kids like them on cold days, must be at back as well as they won't feel anything through their booster seats.

I have these in my 99 V70, makes for conversation when people get in the back! The v70 only has the one switch though that does both sides unlike the 850 which is sided. Sadly my previous 850 didn't have them, I saw the wires and always wanted to connected soemthing!
