I have heard that it was a possible option on 850's back in the days. Does anyone have this ???????

T5Slave does on his saloon !
Yeah the wiring plugs are visible when you fold the seats back, but most don't hook up to anything. Which I assume are for heated seats.

I retrofitted some in mine; not the Volvo ones as they were too expensive when priced up (£60 per pad) but a DIY kit I bought in the States for under £100.
I'm amazed so few people took this option up for a paltry £90 (from the original price list) especially when the cars were so expensive
Exactly right FB, I do ...strangely enough tho the rear seats look practically un...erm...sat in, they r in mint condition, yet they don't work very wellOriginally Posted by The Flying Banana
Thanx 2 Wayne (T5ER) tho I will b takin the car along 2 my local dealer (when it's back OTR) n gettin all my heats checked out Hopefully they'll all work lovely after that, finger's x'd
I have the heated rear seats in mine, a 1996 T5 estate. I think they don't work too well but haven't really had the time to sort them out. the switchs are above the ashtray in the back between the front seats.
Im not sure if its the bottom seat and the backs that heat
i have them in my 855 t5 i think it was rare option but if you had the money you could have them fitted
Got them in my 850R. Assumed they were standard in the R but maybe not? Kids like them on cold days, must be at back as well as they won't feel anything through their booster seats.
I have these in my 99 V70, makes for conversation when people get in the back! The v70 only has the one switch though that does both sides unlike the 850 which is sided. Sadly my previous 850 didn't have them, I saw the wires and always wanted to connected soemthing!
got them on my 855r have been told op extra from factory
I had them in my 96 855 cd estate, worked mint, seat only.
There not in my recent acquirement though still a hi spec car, you get a lot
of car for your money on a used volvo.
