Coupled with a custom remap, you would only see a relatively small increase on top of the ECU upgrade alone, assuming of course that the standard downpipe is good in comparison. The best results in terms of bhp/£ spent are when it's combined with a larger turbo.

No. They're not going to be available for the ME7 phase 1 cars either. It's only for phase 2, ie S60/V70 2001 onwards.

There are a few of us Phase 2 owners who have a 2000 car you know!

Does this mean my car was registered very quickly, or is my engine slightly different? Mine was registered in Nov,2000.

The quality is superb, and is actually better than any other system we have seen so far.

Note to oneself from the future......

    Joules.. Don't buy one.

The welds failed on the 2 brackets you see in Wobbly's picture.

The first one you bought was swapped out by Hamish, only for the second one to fail in the same place...

It's faulty welding at a heat stress point, the weld brakes away to leave a small tack, and a hole in the downpipe.

And FFS dont try and get SW Autos to do an exhaust repair... It'll end up like this.

If you want one. Buy a Ferrita.

I had this downpipe on my old S60 and it never gave any problems in the 20k miles it was fitted.

    Julian/Loadsofsmiles/Sirdrivehisdogupbensaralot,

Did I not read somewhere that when you finally changed your engine at 200zillion miles you found that more than 2 engine mounts were failing/failed? I am sure that this was the reason our down pipes failed on your car and nothing to do with their quality or design, but caused by excessive engine movement. The reason I am so sure of this is that when we sent your downpipe back to the manufacturer the bracket that you are refering to was bent and would no longer fit in the gig. Also I had that bracket repaired and subsequently fitted it to my own car. It hasn't failed in 8,000 miles!
Julian have you had any exhaust failures since replacing the engine and mounts? Thought not. So the only reported failures to these exhausts were while fitted to your car with a broken engine mount and one of your failed exhausts has even been repaired and fitted to another car without failing again.......ummmmm.
The reason we had these exhausts made in the first place is because we weren't happy with the Price, Quality, and Delivery on the the Ferrita Product. And even today after all your forum gripping Julian I am confident that our Downpipe still beats the competition's offerings on all 3 counts.

    Regards,
    Hamish.
    The UK's Leading Volvo Tuner.

P.S. We are still selling these downpipes at very competive prices.
