Alarm Help Needed Urgently !!!!

Hi guys. I really need your help. I recently moved to Spain and have a pig of a problem with the Alarm on my Volvo 850 !!
Yesterday I set the alarm wth the remote ...... came back to the car and tried to de-activate it in the normal way ... Nothing !!! New batteries later and still no response from alarm .
In true Spanish stye ..... the only answer is to have the car lifted and taken to Alicante where Volvo will carry out the reset !! At a cost of around £1000.
Can any one tell me the reset procedure for the g2 alarm . I can get in to the car with the key ......but obviously the immobiliser stops the car from starting !!!

There's a nice bottle of Scotch for the right information !!!!
