    ICE Mod's Started today

Ok removed the standard Volvo head unit today! you know the one with 3 discs in the dash. I hve replaced it with a Pioneer DEH-7700mp MP3 player. This is my 3rd Pioneer unit and I just love them. Only problem it would have left is what to do with the empty din space fortunatly I kept the din size cubbie hole from my S40 which will fits perfectly ( after a few bits were cut off lol).

tomorow me and the Badger are going to build the box for the boot. Watch this space

Work continued on the replacement of the standard ICE today!!!! I have replace the mid range speakers on the doors with set of JBL gto series 3 1/4" Speakers!!! The hardest part of the whole thing was that some halfwit at volvo had pop rivited them on!!! Anyhoo the sound quality has increased 10 fold in the mid range at a relitivly low cost!! Big thanks to the Badger once again!!! Work will cary on over the next couple of weeks!! watch this space!!! (please excuse the low pic quality they were taken on my phone!!!)

Things are looking good mate. I'm liking the new car. Did you ever get to the bottom of your misfire that you had on the s40 at the Fort Augustus Meet?
