S80T6 With Heico

Anybody got any experience with 18" wheels on a S80T6 2002. I am thinking of fitting Heico 18 x 8 Volution V which needs a 235 x 40 tyre what sort of ride can I expect in comparison to my present 17" with 225 x 50. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. I am fed up with the standard Arakis.

Only person i know with Heico wheels is Aeroresh and his have gone now but they were on an s60.If you buy them let me know where you live so i can nip round and "borrow" them they are beautiful!!

Mr V, stupid ? from me why do you want to change your wheels I am trying to change from my Arrakis to something decent but am amazed at the lack of knowledge about what goes on what even Volvo could,nt help. eg trying to see if a set of S60R wheels will fit my S80T6. What make and size are the wheels on your T5. I am looking at a number of new wheels and so far the StilAuto Pegaso 17x7.5 looks good £450 a set.

Have put a set of 18" Alessio F1s with 225/40 Toyo tyres on my 2001 S60 T5 Ride is not that much different to the old Tethis 17" with 225/45 tyres. I went to Topgear, who were very helpful. Website is www.topgear.co.uk

standard S60R 8" x 17" - "Pegusus" 5-Spoke with 235 / 45ZR-17
optional 8" x 18" - "Pegusus" 5-Spoke with 235 / 40ZR-18

they will fit but you will have to check for interference and the ride will be worse
