    Abs-ecu

    Just couldn't resist having a go at the repair meself, so far so good, its doing exactly what it says on the tin!!
    I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel,
    it was just some fool with a torch bringing me more work

    Stu, did your ABS unit have the layer of Silicon or Rubber over the Solders?
    Did you peel this off before you Soldered the joints ?? DB

    You have to as the silicon layer on the PCB is non-conductive... that's the point!

    Don't want to get into a thing over this, but i just stuck the hot iron through the layer of silicon, and only worked on the main connector joints. Still workin okay, but not holdin me breath.
