Red T-5R's

did they ever make any 850 T-5R'S (estate or saloon) in red.i know they did with the 850R's.anyone out there with a good idea.just curious really as i thought there was only 3 colurs,the yellow,olive green and some blacks.

personally i thought the same as you.
black and gul followed later by green, limited colour choice due to marketing ploy and fact it was easier for twr/volvo to deal with batches
and a few whites for dealer pre release
but i may be wrong lol

They were as said by AC the main 3 colours but white was also done but rarerer then hens teeth

where not for sale but for dealer promotions/test cars etc and they where not as rare as hens teeth they where as rare as fillings in hens teeth.

LOL apparently when we were TMS back in 1995 we had a white T5-R ???? there are pics out there,will try and find them

Ok i have done a quick search and from what i can find they never made a white T5-R only black,green and of course the Gul.Only versions in white were the R`s

aye we were having this 'discussion' with Darkstar (iirc)_ at the meet - He said Bracers car was a red T-5R (854)- I said i thought it must be an 850R? - anyone enlighten?

if you mean 'SAM', it is a T5 with R bumper and titans

The so called white T5R's are preproduction cars for dealers only, WITHOUT the titans and frontspoiler - they were pearlish white and not ordinary white like the 850R. I have 2 pics, but somehow I can't upload them for you guys.
It is stunning in that color, but I like My yellow beast better....

I thought they only did green, yellow and black for the T5R, and red, black and dodgy blue/green for the 850R?

That one is the Dark olive green 850R. Hens the interior which is unique to that model as well.
The 850R were in white, black, gun metal grey, red, dark olive green, turquise green, dark blue....I think thats it.

Indeed- that is an R not a T-5R.

As I understand it and I've been reliably informed the 'R' was available to order in any colour off the Volvo palet, I've seen red, black, met. grey, turquoise, forest green and I've seen photos of the white. (EDIT, chrjen- never seen a blue one, need to keep my eye out!)

T-5R was originaly available in creme yellow and black, the forest green came at the end of the run.

Just seen a very shabby T5 855 in T-5R creme yellow wearing volans. Looked OK from a distance but up close what a state! Interior was standard poverty spec T5, paintwork shot and rear lights were faded. Plate was trying to say DAVEY.

I think I know the one redbrick. Lacks a proper front R bumper? Owned by a car dealer and semi volvo specialist in Bristol.

Yup that makes sense had a 'DJ Motors' sticker in the back. I don't think he deals with Volvos anymore though.

Must admit it did get my heart going thinking it was the real thing (yes VERY sad!), if only I had the space and ££££ I'd have one like a shot, a ground breaking classic in my opinon! But I am biased!

Come on chrjen lets get an eyeful of a white T-5R, we will have seen the Volvo Holy Grail then.
