Sub upgrade question.

Does anyone know if I can plug my volvo sub into another P2 without any extra work?

I have the HU-803 as does the other car.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

hi mate not sure but i was told that software downloads have to be done on hu headunits for most things but then again worth a try i would think

Hi Tim

I am not sure all the cars come with the wiring pre-fitted for the sub. You can buy the harness from the dealers but, you may have this anyhow as part of the sub kit if you bought it as a kit.

On the software, you wiil need this on a car that is 2005 or newer. The older ones should just plug and play.

My V70 came with one in the boot, sounds great.

Edit: Sorry you know that already as you have it in your other car!!!
As Burchi has said you'll need the harness- the instructions show you what to do, so still useful.

I was out in an '02 v70D5 today and I hate to report it was feckin good!

It had the premuim sound system same as mine but no sub. So was going to keep a hold of it if I sold the car.
