    Total Resray S70

Hi all, I (well my wife) has a white S70 2.5SE and she loves it. But its white and boring, so rather than move it on, I was contemplating respraying the whole car if it wasnt too much. Does anyone know how much that would cost for a metallic finish?

    Cheers, Sherbo....

All depends on wether you doing the spraying yourself or paying to have it done. A proffesional colour change could cost upwards of £1000, however if your doing it yourself it'll just cost you the price of the paint. Base coat is around £30-£40 per litre,Laquer is around £20 per litre, plus you need hardner if your using 2 pack paint(probably best to get a good finish). Expect to pay a few hundred quid for the paint etc..

Cheers... Would probably be looking for someone else to do it and although more expensive, would 'hopefully' do a better job!!

Make sure that whoever you get to do it you see some of their work first. I've seen loads of so called 'experts' charge a bloody fortune for a crap respray. Also make sure they do inside the door shuts, under the bonnet etc.

Your best bet may be to approach an accident repair centre, where are you from??

I know of a couple of places and know their work first hand as they have done work on my previous cars. Both are in the Bonnybridge area so are about 20-30 mins drive from Glasgow.

If you need any more info let me know.

I've recently had quotes of between £1200 & £1400 for a full respray in metalic, not done as yet.
