    850 Custom Mapping?

Who's in the frame these days for custom mapping a moderate to heavily modded 850 T5?

HLM doesn't want to know and MTE Marco may or may not be in town for a few months and I cant wait that long.....

Surely it hasnt got that bad that there's no one else!

I think your gonna struggle tbh....im not sure Russell will be intersted either, you could always try Stuart and Bobcat, tho i haven't heard much from either of them since the case of Ashok Pauls disappearing engine.....!!

There is a thread running on T5D5 at the moment for appointments with Marco, his next visit is supposed to be imminent.

Talking with Don Norchi of Kalmar Union earlier and he seemed to think he may be over sometime in September before he jets off to Singapore but there's nothing definate. To be honest Id rather have someone in the uk do it cos I suspect it will take a considerable amount of time to get right with maybe a few mechanical tweaks necessary along the way.

    Try this place.http://www.motorsport-developments.co.uk/

The top guy there Stu is s*** hot on fuel system mapping and has worked on road through race and I think he has even worked on F1 systems too. He is a very knowledable guy and has emulator systems so he can map in real time on the dyno. I don't know if he does volvos though as he is a big Ford nut but he has done german cars so you might be in luck.

    Bit of an update,

After many phone calls and hours of surfing, Im going to use one of these:-

    http://www.dastek.co.uk/unichip.htm

bonus is that by coincedance, my old local tuner who looked after my XR4i is a unichip dealer and can do full live mapping on his rolling road.

Ric Wood does some good work on cylinder heads, I didn't know he did mapping too.

Check these out , they have all your existing leads [ coil, ecu etc ] plug into its leads and then onto the engine that way it takes all info from car ecu and you program a card in the Civinco on the dyno to suit ! Was getting a 2nd hand one off Volvospeed Forums but it fell through. DVS Products here in OZ [ IPD USA also sell his stuff ] Trailed it here but no one wanted to go to the full tuning route, just re-maps [ read $$$ expensive route of full dyno-tune/technician cost ] http://www.rkautotechnik.com/5.html
