    awd, how strong??

Im considering trying to build a super fast awd 850, my questions are:
how strong is the four wheel drive transfer box, will it take 450bhp?
Ive got a front wheel drive t5 so will the awd fit onto my engine/car?

Hi Try the Volvospeed site as there is a guy on there running a 400 hp AWD car, with no issues, most i know of power wise are a couple of Rica AWD cars,
    V40 2.0T Sport Lux Titanium grey,(03) 133k,standard
    Yamaha R1 5VY,(06) 180bhp/165whp,100nm

Dont know how much power the AWD will take, though can tell you that the transfer box does not switch to two wheel drive. Under normal driving, 95% of the power is to the front wheels, this power is transfered in varying degrees to the rear wheels when wheel slipping is about to occur, and visa versa.
Personlly I don't think i'd like to chance 450 bhp through the drive train without beefing up it a bit.
I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel,
it was just some fool with a torch bringing me more work
