If you have pre OBD11, then put the flylead in socket B5 i think from memory. If it is OBD11, then make sure there is no kink on the pretensioner cable under the driver or passenger seat. This is what happened to mine due to kids toys flying around under the driver's seat. I straightened it out carefully without breaking it and stuffed it up into the seat base further. Reset the SRS or get the dealer or someone who can read and clear faults , and fingers cross, no problems!

I think the 96+ SRS is a trip to someone with the proper equipment

I was reading up on getting a code reader for mine but all literature stated srs safety lights can not be turned out using a reader. Stealer job me thinks, sorry.

It can be reset on pre-obd11, they are meant to be inspected every 10 years, so whether there is some sort of clock in the ECU that says 'time for the SRS light' , I don't know. Mine came on around 10 years after the cars manufacture date. It wouldn't rest at first and I realised the code meant a short in a wire or similar. So I knew both front seats had been out for the cable in the seat back, so checked them and ...... the rest I have told you.
