Fitted new Top engine mount, gearchanges smoother...

Well, finally got round to fitting a new top mount, well someone else did..another story on that later.....and now the autobox changes are much smoother all through the rev range.....no more snatching / jerking at higher rev range changes......was getting worried it was the box......

Interesting what a new piece of rubber will do for a car....

My top mount rubber has a huge crack in it, it is a manual but clonks sometimes when changing down gear. Do you reckon it is the same thing?

best to change anyway if it does have a crack....then youll find out

Standard mount is rubbish.....not up to the job. Poly bush makes a huge difference in quality of gearchange. Holds the engine solid. Really good upgrade....also makes the car sound much better inside...

More intrusive......if you like that sort of thing....i dont so used a new volvo mount....they may wear out quicker, though it, from my opinion, will wear me out less.......

I bought all of the delrin/poly mounts that QBM make, so they should reduce almost all movement with the box and engine
