Is it usual for the outside 3 inches of the tyre to wear heavily while the rest wears uniformaly?

Thanked 2 Times in 2 Postsrear tyres outside edge only, tracking fine, will post pics in daylight.
asked vovlo dealer and they didn't have any answers as they checked the tracking.
Both tyres have worn exactly the same.
No handeling issues felt even under pressure, the front always goes way before the back anyway.
v. curious in my opinion
