    Spaceball conversion

Is it possible to retrofit the spaceball gearstick on the new shape V70?
    Is there any point? lol

Wouldn't mind the centre armrest with the 'corrugated' blind- can that be retrofitted?

    Thanks

    Andy

Yes the spaceball can be retrofitted... someone on here has done it before and included a 'step by step', if it wasn't on here it might have been on the VOC, but I'm pretty sure it was here!!

It's only for looks. It serves no functional purpose. Mine came with it installed from the factory.

True but they do look good! Until you get loads of muck and crumbs and stuff clogging the edges up though.

Forgot I'd posted this- thanks for the replies.

Just got a brodit ipod holder that attaches near to the gear knob gaiter- it won't fit a spaceball by the looks of it.

Still think they look good though!

well according to the "how-to" its a simple take the cables off & swop over, my old mans car came with the spaceball & tried to swop with Bonny's as he's not keen on it (is very tight) but the cables were different. Mine is a 2002 & his is a 2003 so whether they changed the cable design then i don't know, but we couldn't swop them over
