    De-badging my S60

    Hi peeps,
Just seen the pics of Neilly's S40 with out the badges. It looks great. Have any of you de-badged a S60 and if so do the badges come off with out any problems?

As stated in a previous post a tried and proven method is a kettle of hot water poured and used to soften the adhesive.

is the VOLVO badge at the top just stuck on as well. some times the bigger badges have pins to hold them in place. Not sure about Volvo though!

If I remove my D5 badge and finally get my chrome tailpipe fitted, no one will know I'm a tight-arsed diseasel driver... until I start it up!

I used a heat gun,but very carefully though because these are really hot and can easily bubble paint in a few secs.Once i got the badges off i used white spirit to get the glue off.Takes a while but is oily so want be to abrasive to the paint work.............If your patient will work out good

Also used the same method to take off my side trims on the doors

trust me, the dental floss and wd40 is much easier, slide the floss behind the badge, squirt the wd onto the sticky stuff, and peel off, 3 x badges on my dads 850 took 10 mins
