what have i done ????

ok decided to put the std air box on tonight and change the oil ready for VT tomorrow

went out for a run and no boost

found the hose to the bottom of the turbo had broken at the nipple
so decided to replace all the hoses to the bcs with silicone hoses
and remove the mbc knowing hamish hates them

anyway went for a run all seemed well ..apart from lack of boost down to .5 bar


got to about 4k rpm sounded like the ricirc valve let all the boost go .. flat as a pancake took it down the dual carriage way struggled to get to 95mph

turned round boosted up to .5 again went just over hisss...grr down it .3 bar then back up to .5 hiss grrr... up into 5th no boost at all

then all of a sudden she took off

boosted up to .5 and held it

then back to the same off on boost again

is it just that i have taken off the mbc and the map thats on there dont like it and cant function without an mbc???

or have i screwed up the hoses ...big boost leak ?? or are the silicone hoses not suitable??
i guess vt will tell me in the morning
but would like to sort it b4 then


oh and another thing
cant seem to find my original chip for the car ...have found the one for the 2.0 20v does anyone know if the chips are the same and its just the software thats differnt or is it a totally different chip ????

are you sure the hoses arent mixed up to the bcs from the turbo mate?

you will have 3 coloured dots on the BCS. Blue, red and yellow.

Yellow goes to actuator.
Red goes to turbo compressor
Blue goes to turbo inlet pipe.

just checked the yellow is deff right
but the other 2 dots seem to have worn away seems tobe a trace of blue on the middle connector which is going to the air intake
so appears to be correct
my feeling is i havent tightened u o the hose on the comressor properly my ands are too damn big to get in there properly
