Alarm

Anyone know if i can switch off my alarm without affecting the remote locking/unlocking? The damn thing doesnt like this crappy weather

Don't think so, at least there's no button on my remote for "alarm-only"...

I presume you've not got anything in the car, keys etc that may be interferring as my alarm used to go off loads, but stopped doing so when i emptied some of the cr4p out of it

No, the car is clean. Was really wondering if like some aftermarket alarms you can insert the key and switch them off. Bloody thing!

There is usually some dance needed doing with the ignition to turn off internal sensors.
There is on other cars anyway

What car you have 850 or V70...there is a way on teh V70.....

V70 - turn off car, all door must be shut, take out key.... and still sitting in the drivers seat.....
press and hold the auto door lock swith on the drivers door for more than 5 secs......the locks will then lock and unlock whilst you are pressing down on the door lock switch,

the cars sensors are now de-activated.....

edit....just read somwhere it works on late 850's too.....
