Hi all,
I have to admit to being a bit of a noob looking at all the threads going on here, I've had the T5 for 3 years now and I'm feeling the need for more power but I can't seem to figure out all the abbreviations being thrown about, bov, cbv, mbc, rica etc.
Any chance of some simple explanations?

MBC is manual boost controller
CBV is the recirculation valve
BOV is a chav valve (ie dump valve)

I was certain there was a glossary floating around but I cannot find it.
I will put up a thread with as many as I can remember in the knowledge base section later.
For now RICA is a chip tuning company in Holland that specialise in Volvo. The system works by reprogramming your Engine Control Unit (ECU) by changing the parameters onm fueling, boost control and other bits.
There are cheaper tuning options such as MBC (Manual Boost Controller) which is a spring loaded valve that you use to increase boost generated by the turbo.
