Cold start problem on 940 gle

Hi! How do I cure the cold start problem that has occurred since the car (a 940 GLE auto estate) boiled over due to cracked rad? Rad problem sorted now but it took a helluva heat at the time. Once it starts (and it does - eventually) it's as smooth as ever but I suspect I've 'cooked' something but I don't know what. No water in oil - compression is OK - when it goes it's fine; its just really difficult to start when cold.
    Any help much appreciated. Thankyou.

I think you will get clearer answers on VOC. I had a 740 but starting it was never a problem. Getting it to stop however was a different matter (even with an anti run on valve)

General pointers really. Check the battery - get a discharge test done. Check the altenator belts are not slipping or lose. Check the spark plugs, HT leads, dissy cap and rotor. What engine is it - B230K?

Sadly we are all 5 potters in here so experience with the older cars is limited. But anyway.
