    Police 850 T5 vs BMW M5

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxMFd...rch=volvo%20T5

It doesn't exactly make it a walk in the park for the M5, however it gives you a good idea of T5's performance i suppose

I apologise if this has already been posted

It is a repost, but not for a while. A stock T5 is almost half the power of the M5 and the BMW is far more streamline. Acceleration wise the M5 doesn't pull away like it has double the power, but it can get up to and maintain 155 no problem - unlike a stock T5

So as you say - looks good on the T5 !

I was posting it as a compliment to the T5 As you say the M5 can hold 155 easy, unlimted I beleive it does around 170 (correct me if i am wrong)

This is not a normal police vehicle. This car was owned by the guys making a television programme (you can hear them on the video but in Dutch). The police cooperate with that show and drive in the cars. These guys had all their volvo's (the V70 the are using now as well) chipped by Rica to make up for the extra weight on board due to all the equipment.

mine makes that noise (to a much lesser extent and much quieter) but all is fine.

Seeing as the M5 is a sports coupe with one guy in and the T5 is a laden estate car I think it does well.

If yours is an 850 it just can't be 100% stock unless its an R version, All my T5s have as stock hit 145 and only my current V70 would just nudge 150 on a flat road as stock. My 854 toped out at 147 on the flat and the one in the video toped out out at 149 mph, If it was RICAd it had a running issue!

Is yours an R or a later model?
