Indicator problem..help..Relay???

Hi.
My indicators when stalk pushed either direction are staying on constant instead of flashing..Same with hazards. And same with the dash indicator lights??

SO it can't be fuse i think and all the bulbs are ok..

Anybody know what relay runs the indicators and where it is situated..

You think it will just be a relay?

yes mate fairly common fault with the S and V40's, will 100% be the relay.

ring your volvo dealer and ask for the flasher relay, and they will know what you mean, and will probably have one on the shelf. they are about £20 all in, its a square black realy, with a white plastic housing around the base of it, situated in the fuse box inside the car, i think the part number is 30870939

ah well bought at volvo garage for £19.40..

fitted and all working so i'm happy

dont think you would have got that at halfords to be honest, looks a bit specific as relays go.

glad its sorted though, not to bad when its a simple fix
