    LPG and RICA

Now I have heard before that people should not put LPG on a car that has been RICA'd , but is it not possible to REMAP the ECU specifically for LPG switchover, and it will also work on 95/98 RON octane? Will a 280 map work with LPG? VT any answers? Has anyone chipped their LPG T5 or a bi-fuel?

The LPG system needs to be programmed/adjusted to run correctly with the RICA ECU upgrade, not the other way round.

Yes, and we now have a policy of not getting involved with LPG cars any more.

Drive slower or get a D5, ive had an LPG merc and while the savings were good , when it kept going wrong after a year it was pants and far to expensive.
LPG is best left for old V8 range rovers where you can advance and retard the timing easily when you switch between fuels.
My Local independent Volvo specialist says even Volvos own duel fuel cars are crap and unreliable and that the D5 is a far better drive having pleanty of torque being much more driveable.

Many Volvo dealers and independent specialists will also refuse to work on LPG converted cars.

The hummer H2 my brother uses is LPG converted. Only problem with it is the space the tank takes up and the lack of LPG filling stations. When LPG runs out or if you are ever crazy enough to switch it to petrol willingly it really does start to burn a whole in your pocket and the ozone layer
