ive just spent £300 in new mounts from the dealer and to no joy, i also yesterday took it to a gearbox specialist and he drove the car and said that in his opinion that the gearbox was fine, as much as he would like to take my money to take it apart he said it was all ok, he did however say that it was possible the noise was somewhere on the gear linkage as its a metallic clunk, ive spoke to hamsih at VT aswell when my car went for a service and he was unsure as to what it is?? very strange
