    new brakes,

my front calipers arrived today Porsche GT3 monoblocks which will be fitted with 330mm S60R front discs, Goodridge hoses and dot 5.1,
so i have been busy getting everything ready for the change over, can't wait to get them fitted,
all in the front conversion has cost me £440 excluding the brackets to be made up, now do i keep the black ones and put them on the rears?

Hi gary that realy is some bargain you got there, where did you source your discs mine were £190 inc from the main dealer which makes those calipers well cheap. But apart from all all that hope all goes well with the brackets if not sourced already i believe sw auto's make them

very impressive. You'll need a bigger engine now to get the best out of those anchors!

Well the calipers i have been looking out for a long time, it was one of the last jobs to do to my old S70,
I am going to use Textar pads, as the seem to be standard fitment on the Porcshe's,
I got the black calipers on Pistonheads, inc pads shims for £100, but they are axial bolted and not radial as the axial bolts hit the stub axle and it is a pain to get them to fit, plus there is only a 27mm gap to fit the disc and the S60R disc is 28.2mm so i had to source another set of calipers, which i got from a guy in leeds, came with pads( textar 9mm left of pad, clips bolts and all the other bits for the caliper, £200 delivered to my door,
there is only one other person to fit monoblocks to his Volvo and that is Johann, and he has given me a host of info on the mono's,
I am looking at getting the brackets made up on Monday, got a good friend that has a CAD laser which will draw the brackets i need and will work out all of the measurements on the car

Looking good garry. I've just done my brakes as you know so if you want a proffessional back seat driver telling you what you are doing wrong just give me a shout and I'll come round with the spanners.
