    door locks

    does anyone know how to remove them ?????
    1995 854 t5
    40mm lowered
    bilstien shocks
    strut brace [ome] wow what a difference
    poly top mount
    new turbo
    drop links and rod ends
    bonnet wadding removed

    RICA power

    turob to i/c pipe hose
    bcs hoses
    silicone vac lines (part done)
    new oe wishbones
    k&n panel filter

    to do
    paint up v70 r calipers calipers
    R bumper

    The key mechanism in the door handle..... or........ the locking unit that clasps the door..?


    Current Garage:
    1997 960 3.0L 24v - Polestar...(Honest guv..!!)

    the ket mechanism...so the handle can be delocked
    or the barrel changed for one that matches the set on the car

    Have you managed to get the handle out..?
    If not then loosen the two torx screws on the side of the door and lower the lock then remove a little plastic plate and undo two more screws. the handle should then come out completely....

    From there I'm not sure, cos I ain't looked but there must be a circlip or something to remove and the lock should pop out...but that's only a guess...

    umm i did have a spare front door handle somewhere but could not see how to do it easily
    so gave up now cant find the spare handle have moved twice since then
    have a dead one on an old door so may have a play with that

    If u carry out this job, n u feel the inclination, I'd like a how 2 (if 1 doesn't already exist on here) as I wish to completely remove all my door handles n any help/tips n advice will b warmly welcomed!

    just a guess - my car is in garage so can't check - but are the front and rear handles the same except the lock? was an old trick I've seen used on mk3 Cavaliers - get a nice neat de-locked handle just by fitting rear handles on the front doors
