    bhp question

    hello
    i have a 2000 s80 2.4
    what is the bhp ????
    and also could i remap ? how much bhp would i gain ?

    hi - 140 or 170 standard, with remap 180
    if you take a look at the chip tuning website, via the banner on the forum page, you will have a better idea

    your engine code will be either

    B5244S - 170BHP
    B5244S2 - 140bhp

    to find out, look at your VIN number, it will look something like this:

    YV1TS610XY1123456

    notice the highlighted number there,

    61 = B5244S
    65 = B5244S2

    ive just checked its 61 so its 170bhp
    so there is no point in getting remap to gain 10bhp

    In a word, no! You won't really feel the difference. The car may be slightly more responsive but you won't get much more than that.

    the fact of it is the car is n/a and its allready had an upgrade at the factory to make it 30bhp more than the 140bhp version, so theres not a lot left in the map for there to be tweaked by the likes of VT etc
