Anyone tell me please......

I know it is a daft question - but not had my bus long. Can anyone tell me what this bent pipey thing is and what it does. Mine is full of holes in the wiggly bit, you can see where I have been at it with some tape. But no lights or other warnings........

Should I get a new one???????? I suspose so as the thing is booked in for it's RICA upgrade on 15th April.

I believe it's pipeing used to cool your ecu's which is in the black box to the left.

HEY PEDRO just curious but if its a cold air supply why is it attached to the fan cowling where it gets hot air surely it's to cure condensation prob's in the ecu box? Rich

Not a big problem if it is a bit holey then? Still there is a part number on it so I think I'll get one on order.

Oh yes - Volvo and their notoriously expensive plastic. Personally - I'd tape up the holes and have done!

So my tape solution is the preferred cost effective one. May stick with it then.

I changed mine before, just pop into a regular scrapyard and look around. Though simple duct tape does the job, it wouldn't look right with the hood popped.
