    Evolve

Been trading emails back and forth between myself and Evolve for a while now and finally gave them some of my money yesterday.
They, well, the sales manager, has been nothing but helpful, always willing to send info. Then when I ordered the shipping came out at 50% above what he had quoted me so he ammended my invoice to take it back to his original quote.
All in all, happy. Lets see how long it takes for my prize to reach me

A good machine man could have made that here easily.....bit of stainless steel and a section of holy metal cut out andEminox exhaust from a Volvo artic would do the job....

Not wishing to p1ss on your parade Baj - but Erm - you do know that the V70 phase 2 bonnet is plastic? (unless your sig is not your car?) - and the curve is different to that on the phase 1?

FB: I thought of that and drew my own up. Evolve kindly sent me the fitting instructions so I knew what it consisted of.
Making one of is gonna cost nearly as much as buying it from them and they have made all their design mistakes.

T5S: Sorry dude. Been thinking about it for a while. Gonna put it above induction kit and it should cure the warmair issues people moan about. Gonna add a baffle plate underneath to stop rain/grit/small rodents pouring in.
I am only fitting one so you can still do two

Wobbly D: I was not aware of the P2 bonnet being plastic. I dontthink thatit will matter too much. My bonnet will need some work as I think there is a bit of brace in the way.
I am aware the curve is different. It is one of the things we were discussing. He says people have fitted them to P1s but it isnt designed for them.
It is only 5cm wide apparently so I dont think it will be too bad.
If it doesnt work I will have one up for sale here for T5Slave to buy

    Thumbs up

It uncanny I just got a email back this morning from Mark the sales guy at evolve asking about the exact same thing.
As you got the fitting intructions from them, are they flat, as they look as if they are!

When you fit them post some pics, as I was trying to workout where the best place would be.

Did you order the covers for winter time?

I think it was Matt I was dealing with. Sales manager but they probably all are.
The fitting instructions were a word doc so not exactly great.
It consists of 2 plates (which do look flat). Top plate has bolts welded on. Botom plate has holes in ( I think, this is running from memory). Bottom plate goes on underside of bonnet and top plate is on top of bonnet. Looks like there is some rubber layer in there too. Bolts from topplate go through bottom and nuts go on.
PM me you email and I can send over if you like.

I didnt buy the covers. They will only be nicked anyway.
I plan on fitting it above the airbx and fitting a plate underneath it (with guttering and with a gap between it and the grille) to protect my K&N from excessive rain.

They are 31cm long at its longest length, 24cm at its shortest and 5cm accross.
