    18" Pegs

While looking for new wheels I found this site

    http://www.vivaperformance.com/catal...products_id=87

18"x8" Titanium Silver Pegasus Wheels $230.99 each

Which works out at £501.769 for a set of 4. No tyres though.
This seems quite cheap to me.
No idea of shipping costs and customs will porobably take a cut but if we got a few might be a good deal. What say the masses?

Great find & a good price.

I escaped the duty when I imported my set so you might be lucky.

The original Volvo packaging is a bit flimsy so you should ask for them to be packaged a bit better before shipping.

The new C70 center caps are pretty sweet too

I'd be interested at that price Baj...might be looking at 17" for me tho as I could then swap my current rubber across which would save a few pennies!

Let me know if you find out more

Does anyone know where you can get locking nuts to fit 18" wheels as the ones I got the locking nut is to big for the hole.

I have mailed them asking shipping costs

They have 17" Anthracite Titans at $299 apiece.
I want to fit 40s as 35s dont run well on Leeds' smooth, well maintained raod network.
    Whereabouts are you Rob?

Yeah I saw the Titans as well...tough call between those and pegs. Let me know when you hear about shipping costs.

I know what you mean about the roads around here...that's half the reason that I would prefer 17s..and the fact that my rubber is very nearly new all round.

I'm up in Menston, and you?

The FedEx rate on the site came in nearly as much as the wheels themselves. They say that with 12 wheels they can get a much reduced rate so I am awaiting that. If it is more reasonable then I am sure we can find a third participant.
They have been very good with their communication.

    Sadly, I am in Armley

OK, for 3 sets of 4 wheels - Pegs including 5 day shipping to my door £643.03 per set, plus anything customs throw at us.
I presume it would be 17.5%. Can anyone confirm this? This would make it £755.

I believe that is £250 than here (although replicas with tyres are less than that). Every bugger wants their cut dont they.

Anyone else interested? No obligation atm. Not even sure how commited I am now. If we get more interest we could possibly hastle them for a discount.

There's also potentially customs duty, which comes before the VAT (the VAT is levied on the price after the customs duty too). I don't know how much it would be if anything, only site I found talked about the "potential for customs duty on a wide range" ... I would think FedEx should know off hand.

I'll be following progress with interest but I'm not sure at the moment I can stretch to joining a group buy.

At £643, I would be in but the VAT and anything else makes them a bit pricey...like Baj says, can anyone confirm exactly what we might have to pay etc.

Maybe we buy a boat load Baj and try and sell them at this price:

We'd pay for our own in no time!

    I think you are right.
It is turning into a bit of a dead end with customs duty as well.
We could buy a boatload but we would need to get in 11 sets just to cover the cost and I just dont have £6k kicking about at the moment.

    Ho hum :/

Just stopped into Volvo to pick up a treasure map and thought I'd enquire about the price of Pegs from them.
After much pfaff as he didnt know what they were and they werent in the catalogue, I had to point him to a nice new AWD outside with them on.
After a quick lookup on the computer - £583. Each.
    Includes VAT though!
