    Oil Change Info

    Gooday,

Being very much a 1spanner type of guy, I am going to try and change the oil on my S60, give it a nice drink of fully-synthetic mobile-1.

Thing is, There is a big imposing looking cover over the bottom of the engine bay and I can't find a haynes manual in Halfrauds for it, can anybody tell me how to change the oil ?

I dont actually fully remember on the phase 2 cars. I think it is a case of removing the back under cover, which I believe is split from the front part.
The sump plug is at the rear of the sump point backwards down the car and the filter is slung underneath. You can release the filter with a strap wrench. I also seem to remember that the phase 2 cars have inserts rather than complete oil filters. Apologise for being vague.

Mobil 1 isnt a true full synthetic. Its just jargon in there sales pitch that they can get away with.
