Looks like you have rom on the left for one like mine (unless you have 5 kids or one doesnt have a right arm).
I think that baby seat fitment may become illegal soon.

Had a good measure up today to check all the side mountings and off to look at subs tomorrow, its all about the mounting depth.
Had another look at the tailgate idea serious uprating of struts required methinks.
May have to reign in the sizes somewhat or build one out as far as required and accept the kids seats are always up, not sure I like that idea.
Whats wrong with the kids seat, you've got me worried now?

There are new laws coming in about what type of seat goes where. I cant remember off the top of my head which is probably bad as I write/draw the installation manuals for Mamas & Papas.
I can find out on monday if someone does chip in before then.
I wouldnt of thought that was the safest seat position in the car anyway tbh
I always assumed as the seats are std volvo fitted and all we have done is put a booster seat on top this would be ok.
Tbh its for the head rest so if he falls asleep he doesn't slump uinder the seat belt which is the biggest problem I find with kids.
Very interested to know what the best answer is.

You've got loads of room there mate! You'd get a 10 in no problem, if you're willing to do some fibreglassing. It's hard to describe, but if you masking tape a couple of layers (working from the bottom upwards) on the side panel on either side, round to the boot opening, and the floor, then lay 8 layers or so of glass down, build a sub baffle and mount it on dowel, stretch some t-shirt over the pre-cut fibreglass base and the sub baffle, resin it, fibreglass over tat when it's dry, and add around 6 layers of glass on top, you'd get a nice looking install that isn't too obtrusive. Then it's just sanding and trimming, and bolting the box through the floor (put a layer of wood directly under the OEM boot floor carpet, and screw in to that).
If you fancy a bash and want more info, just let me know.
Cheers
