What tyres for 18" on T5

I am thinking of buying some 18" R's for my T5, which size of tyres are best and are there any draw backs. Do I need to adjust the turning circle space.

I run on 215/40s - all 'round, no rubbing! I wouldnt go any lower and i think wider will rub on the front.

Im running on Pegs with 225/40/18s and worn out standard suspension, havent adjusted anything with regards to turning circle or anything else for that matter. Wont need to do anything once it lowered either.

I run 225/35 on mine, they give you a harsh ride and i have knocked my tracking out 2 in the last week with pot holes, luckily for me my alloys are a professional make and not cheap ones, otherwise they would've buckled,
I wouldn't run 215 on a 7.5j rim the look crap, at least 225, i would say, and they will then protect the edge of your rims,

Well i didnt say that, i do get some rubbing on full lock on the inside of the wheel well, but nothing excesive. If you drive constantly on potholed roads then personally i wouldnt go for a 35 tyre, as siamblue said above, a wheel will buckle, at least with a 40 you have some protection.

Av changed my front tyres from 225/40 to 215/40, with the 225's and a 5mm spacer i still got real bad rubbing on full lock and rubbing on the rear when loaded up....

215/40 theres no rubbing at all......

I dont know what the 7.5 j represents (obviosly something denoting width eh!?) My comets are original but did they come in different widths anyone?

One thing i can say to all though, they do not look crap! AND Im not sure im happy with them rubbing on a 225 either... Although I will consider putting them on the rear - anyone reckomends otherwise?

I honestly thought the Comets were 7J? my Tritons are 7.5J, If i am not mistaken then IMHO 215 tyres do not look good on a 7.5J rim.

I´ll run on 235*40*18 Pirelli Pzero Rosso
The rim I´ll be using is Heico 18*8.5

I know that I´ll be having some problems, but i´ll have to roll the arches out, to be able to use small spacers, then Ill be able to use my set up...
The car is lowered 60mm front and 40mm in the back.

I used 225*40*18 last time, there were no touches when turning, nor when loading up. But then my car wasn´t lowered at all.

I wish you all the best of luck in finding the perfect fit for your cars set up.

    Best regards//

I use 235 35 19s and have no major trouble at all, just on right full lock at low speeds.
