I ended up using 4MM for everything I think. I read somewhere that 8MM was used as well, but I only used it on the larger plastic pipes that run in the evap canister circuit and that was only because I'd bought the stuff. Think I got through most of a 3M length of 4MM.

Yes good luck with #5. I'd say from my recollection that I would've struggle to get 6MM fitting tightly on that one. Needs a bit of creativity no matter what size hose you use on that little swine.

i used 4mm hose all round too iggy and yes no 5 is a right pig....
initially i bought 6mm hose but it did not fit securely at several junctures
does it matter if you use 4mm or 6mm hose, does the internal diameter make any difference to the performance??
    cheers

Without checking, I can only think of one point, the manifold connection, that has a bore greater than 4MM. Even if I'm down a MM or two I reasoned this is pressure we're dealing with and not flow, so I can't see why it should be an issue.

Practically, just make sure that nothing is loose and everything is a snug fit. If you read those links it does say some will all use 6mm, others 4mm. I havent done mine yet but ive got enough of all 3 sizes to do the job.

iggy not wishing to sound stupid but i am really not getting my head round this pipe size biz.....
for example....bcs to wastegate.....i am currently using 4mm samco hose as this seemed to me to be the right size, initially i had used 6mm secrured to the wastegate with a cable tie but is was still loose
so the hose carries a pulse from the bcs to the wastegate and whatever size pipe you have the pulse size/power will be the same.....therefore surely if you use a 4mm hose the reading at the wastegate end of the hose will be more than the reading at the end of a 6mm bit of hose at the same place???
therefore the wategate or "other end" will be getting a false reading and will act accordingly??
am i being two "technical" lol.....
    cheers
