Smile jet or spray

if anyone has thought about changing the washer jets on there 850,
mite be of use to you,
i changed mine tonight from the basic jet to the later spray mist type,
cost just over a tenner for the 2 jets,
just needed to file a tiny bit on the base of the jet that goes through the bonnet, instead of filing the hole in the bonnet,
took 20 mins with all the filing etc,now when i use the washers they spray the whole window & not just a couple of jets onto the glass,
if anyone wants them the part number is 30655606 (thats a volvo number)
they are fitted to the mungrel 850/v70 .

Is that from any Volvo dealer Judge, if so exactly what is it I would ask for? Or do I just quote the number given by stealth?

Thanx in advance

yes any volvo dealer will be able to get you that part number, and most would have them on their shelves. obviously if you let them look it up they will tell you another number, but you want the number posted above, (2 of)

I switched to these a while back. Like the Judge I didn't have to make any modifications as they just popped straight in. £5 the pair from Asgard in Wolverhampton. I also changed the return valve, (the tee piece under the bonnet insultation) and this improved matters a lot as the delay I had previously disappeared. I think that was £5 too.

One of the cheapest and best mods I have seen for the 850.

I recently changed the rear bulb holder on the near side lower light unit for one from the lower offside unit of a scrapper, (855). So now I have two rear fog lights, hopefully halving my chances of being rear ended in rain and fog This cost me nothing so has to be the best and cheapest mod I ever made. Even came with the bulbs
