Mines currently being repaired again. Guessing by the difficulties in sourcing a replacement last year it's a trw rack on my 850 t5. Hopefully should be sorted next week
Well, bit of a blast from the past. Took the car for it's test yesterday thinking all was well and it failed on, you guessed it, steering rack amongst other things. It's currently back at the garage...
When mine went the garage ended up having to get mine reconditioned as the parts suppliers kept sending the wrong one.
Thanks for the detailed update!
Something for me to look out for, the 850 ones are pants.
V70 washer jets? From a p1 of p2? Are they are straight fit?
The yatour ones look decent. Not sure if they have bt built in though.
Partsforvolvos.com sell them
I'll have to try this on mine
Sell on... how much?

That looks great!
Speaking from experience I would say try and get a genuine one, especially if it's heated. The glue on the pattern ones just doesn't hack it.
Looking good!
I never thought a battery thread could create such debate. Thanks for all the info. Yes the bigger battery has made a difference, the kids are able to leave the courtesy lights on over night now and...
Speak to Shem then buddy
Great progress!
Unfortunately having read up the how-to's online I don't think i have the facilities to do this myself.
Update:
Power steering rack failure
Managed to get it up in the air today to have a good looknowledge around the rack. Clearly some type of leak at the drivers side. Put everything back...
That looks great. Liking the improvements as well
Thanks guys. Still not had an opportunity to get it in the air yet, had to pop to chemists this evening and managed to get this video clip where you can hear the noise. It's coming from the drivers...
