Thanks for the replies fellas. Will think about that one - how do you test for resistance in the high pressure side of the condensor?
I have had problems with the temp guage/ sensor. Sometimes...
Think I may be getting closer. Discovered that the purge valve may be faulty. It clicks intermitently, which I believe is a sign that it is failing. The search continues.
Thanks for the info - just gave it a quick clean and just for a while, i thought that the problem was solved!!!
When working, the revs idle at about 950 and don't move much even when the aircon...
Where would I find these non-return valves on an N reg 850 T5? The idling rpm is sometimes ok (950ish) and sometimes as high as 2000!!
How easy is it to inspect/ replace the vac hoses? Getting...
Some advice is greatly needed. Last month, my 850 T5 developed an interesting fault.
The aircon started to blow 'unconditioned air' + at idle, the rpm started to sit anywhere between 950-1800. ...
True, but not really in the spirit of things. Anyway, I would rather keep the factory HU and spend the money elsewhere - like a RICA custom map or new pair of snow skis.

For those that are interested, I have successfully modded my Volvo sc801 radio + volvo 6 cd changer to accept an AUX input from my iPod.
I have been mulling over this problem for months - fed up...
Have already got an iTrip, but I have found that it doesn’t work too well in the Volvo - great in the house and the other car.
Have found this solution:

Has anyone found a workable solution to the problem of connecting your iPod to a standard volvo head unit?
Pzorb,
I have also suffered with a failing fuel flap lock - but it seemed to clear itself with time. I tried removing the small corner trim panel in the boot that gives you access to the 'manual'...
Thanks for the replies - £3.5k is about where i was aiming - so thank you.
As for the R AWD and not the R - not sure exactly. Maybe its the prospect of having better road manners?! We spend alot...
Hey guys, I am in a bit of a dilemma.
I have a 96N manual CD Estate in metallic gun-metal grey with 115k on the clock. It's in immaculate condition (apart from the odd stone chip on the front...
